CSF Board Treasurer - Pam Thropp

Pam Thropp

Being a part of this foundation is important to me because I want kids to have wonderful experiences with tools and skills that will prepare them for success in the real world, wherever they may land. I am proud to be involved in something that will make things a bit easier for parents in this community.

My professional background is scientific – biochemistry & molecular biology – and I am a Project Manager and Scientific Writer for a neuroimaging team at NCIRE. We work with veterans and researchers to find biomarkers for early detection of neurodegenerative conditions such as Alzheimer’s Disease, Depression, Pain, and TBI.

Once our twin boys finished college, my husband and I decided to follow our dream to move to Montana. We finally – permanently – landed here in Corvallis. Throughout our 20 years in Lake Oswego, Oregon, I worked as a professor and researcher, and also volunteered a significant amount of time in the community. I have coached soccer, run book fairs, spoken in classrooms, been on parent boards, and headed major fundraisers for our local schools. I thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it.

I am very much looking forward to brightening some futures!
