I moved permanently to Corvallis in 2020 and continue to work remotely as a communications manager for a nonprofit health clinic in Yakima, WA. Previously, I was a newspaper journalist at several papers around the country, including covering technology and business at the Dallas Morning News. Way back when, I was a public school social studies teacher, trying to make civics and history interesting to middle-schoolers. It was the most difficult job I’ve ever had!

My commitment to public education has been lifelong, instilled by my parents who regarded education as the means to a happy, productive life. I look forward to working with the Foundation and the District to spread some of that passion for education to the students of Corvallis.
